Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to Utah State bar required.
• Demonstrated organizational, effective verbal/written communication and human relations skills also required.
• An excellent academic record and related experience preferred. This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates, identifies, and resolves legal issues in transactional work and general matters.
• Drafts, reviews, negotiates, and advises on contracts involving software licenses, equipment purchases, professional services, employment, research, and related matters.
• Advises on employment, faculty, and student matters and oversees litigation support and outside counsel where needed.
• Coordinates and oversees legal services to university departments; supervises staff and external counsel on projects.
