Job summary

Clera seeks an hands-on contributor for an early-stage AI infrastructure team in San Francisco. You will design experiments to understand how AI agents crawl, retrieve, and cite information from the web, and you will build production systems that enable discovery and retrieval by AI agents.

The role focuses on telemetry and routing pipelines and on applying system insights to improve how products surface and cite information for AI tools.

About the Role

What You'll Do

• Design experiments to understand how AI agents discover and evaluate web content.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of individual contributor experience building and shipping production systems.
• Experience with Next.js, TypeScript, or Go in production.
• Background at a startup or technology company.
• Experience with LLM infrastructure or evaluation, or with edge systems.
• Hands-on experience building or debugging telemetry and routing pipelines.
• Curiosity about how AI systems choose what information to retrieve, cite, and trust.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $100,000 to $150,000, plus equity of 0.10% to 0.30%. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

On-site in San Francisco, California, six days per week.
