Job summary

The Prompting Company in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to help surface AI-cited web content. You will design experiments and systems that uncover how AI agents crawl, retrieve, and cite the web.

Requirements include 2+ years experience, production systems in Next.js, TypeScript, or Go, telemetry and routing pipelines, and a strong curiosity about how LLMs choose what to see and cite. This is a fully in-person role six days per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related role.
• Experience shipping production systems with modern web stacks.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, and web citation pipelines.

About the role

We help companies get mentioned in ChatGPT by rebuilding the internet for AI agents.

Our product helps companies like NVIDIA, Rho, and Exa get cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

You'll design experiments and systems that uncover how AI agents crawl, retrieve, and cite the web.

You might be a fit if you've

• Worked with LLMs at the infrastructure or evaluation level (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, LangChain, etc.), or built edge systems at Cloudflare, Vercel, or Netlify and want to apply that expertise to AI agents.
• Shipped production systems in Next.js, TypeScript, or Go.
• Built or debugged telemetry and routing pipelines.
• Developed a curiosity about how LLMs choose what to see, cite, and trust.

Prior startup or tech company experience is required. Experience at a competitor or adjacent company is a plus.
