Reconstructing Judaism seeks an associate for its Thriving Communities department, including Ritualwell and our in-house Reconstructionist Press. Reporting to the Director of Ritualwell and the Associate Director for Thriving Communities, this position ensures that departmental programs, educational offerings, publications, and online resources and outlets are well-administered and delivered efficiently, professionally, and with a positive participant/patron experience.

The Thriving Communities Associate serves at the intersection of programmatic operations and communications for the Department of Thriving Communities, which include our Ritualwell platform and suite of resources, trainings, and consultations for Reconstructing Judaism's network of 87 congregations. The position requires exceptional organizational and communications skills, attention to detail, tech-savviness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organization.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to joinour organization and includes meaningfulinteraction with our wider community of congregations, rabbis, learners, and internal staff. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of one day per week onsite in the Wyncote, PA office and additional in-person participation as needed for meetings and events. This includes occasional evenings and weekends and busy times for the Read & Rite Store.

Position Responsibilities
Program Operations
  • Coordinate registration and logistics for Thriving Communities and Ritualwell virtual programs, including Leadership Calls, Thriving Communities of Practice, mini-courses, cohorts, webinars, and other educational offerings; Build and maintain registration pages and event workflows using online registration platforms.
  • Monitor registrations, attendance, participant communications, evaluations, and program data; Serve as the primary support contact for program participants, responding promptly to questions, troubleshooting technical issues, processing cancellations or refunds, and ensuring a welcoming participant experience.
  • Produce participation and evaluation reports to support departmental planning and decision-making; Maintain accurate participant and engagement records in Salesforce and other organizational systems.
  • Support point staff in maintaining the Thriving Communities master calendar and assist with scheduling programs and events.
  • Coordinate Zoom logistics, distribute program materials, and manage post-program communications and follow-up.
Communications & Marketing
  • Draft, edit, schedule, and distribute communications supporting Thriving Communities and Ritualwell programs and initiatives including submissions for the Rooted & Relevant newsletter.
  • Create and schedule email campaigns, newsletters, and promotional communications using Mailchimp or similar platforms, coordinating with Thriving Communities and Strategic Advancement teams to ensure timely publication and appropriate messaging and branding.
  • Design engaging, brand-consistent graphics and promotional materials using Canva or similar design tools.
  • Update and maintain website content using WordPress, ensuring program information and departmental resources remain accurate and current.
  • Assist in implementing communications strategies that promote departmental programs, publications, and initiatives across multiple digital channels.
Ritualwell Store, Read & Rite & Reconstructionist Press Operations
  • Facilitate daily order fulfillment by generating packing slips, coordinating with vendors, packaging materials, and shipping orders through USPS, UPS, and other carriers.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchasing and billing, and forecast inventory needs for holidays and seasonal demand, including managing reprints of high-demand publications.
  • Maintain and update the online store to ensure featured resources, publications, and seasonal offerings remain current and accurate.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Review and process requests for reprint permissions in accordance with organizational policies.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, benefit-eligible position with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule (partially onsite, partially remote).
