Job summary

Boeing, Berkeley, MO, is seeking an Associate Flying Test Bed Lab Tech to support flight test operations, maintain and repair test equipment, and assist during tests on the ground and in a lab. The role may involve flying on the test bed aircraft and requires becoming a non-flight crew member, with medical evaluation as part of the process.

Responsibilities include planning and documenting tests, fabricating harnesses, assisting with system integration, and ensuring equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience planning and conducting system level lab, ground, or flight testing
• 1+ years of experience wire harness design, wire harness installation or equipment installation
• 1+ years of experience developing, troubleshooting procedures, diagnosing equipment for technical issues
• Willing to travel domestically up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Supports activities to plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, and components
• Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of harnesses, components, test fixtures and test systems
• Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and posttest tear-down
• Assists the team in ensuring that the test equipment is functional and properly configured for the scheduled test activities
• Designs systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements
• Supports occasional Saturday and extended shift as necessary to complete the mission
• Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of basic test-related problems
• Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results
• Supports occasional (<10%) travel with test aircraft
• Reads and interpret engineering drawings
• Works under general supervision
