Job summary

BGRE, a premier real estate partner within Brookfield, is seeking a Finance professional to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for a diversified portfolio. You will work with multiple teams to produce robust financial analyses and board-ready presentations.

The role requires 2–4 years of accounting experience in real estate, proficiency with Excel, and comfort using AI tools to enhance insights. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 2–4 years experience in accounting, ideally in real estate.
  • Accrual and/or financial statement experience required.
  • Argus experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Yardi preferred.
  • Ability to effectively use AI tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, discounted cash flows and valuation projections for corporate business plan.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly IFRS financial statement forecasting.
  • Prepare quarterly leasing forecast, including updates of actual leasing activity and forecasted leasing assumptions.
  • Prepare financial analyses, market analyses and board presentations for management review.
  • Work with accounting during monthly close cycles to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with asset management, lease administration, corporate services, marketing, and investor relations to gather inputs and support forecasting and reporting.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as needed.
  • Convey analytical insights and outcomes through clear, structured narratives.
  • Analyze cash flow projection reports for existing properties.
  • Support strategic objectives across a diversified portfolio of investments.

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 2-4 years experience in accounting, ideally in the real estate industry
  • Accrual and/or financial statement experience required
  • Argus experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Yardi preferred
  • Ability to effectively use AI tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency
  • Ability to work in a fact-paced environment, juggling multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
  • Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn new analytic and reporting systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary Type: Exempt
  • Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Annual Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000
