Job summary

Avnet in San Jose, California, is seeking an entry-level Associate FAE to join the AMD technical sales team. You will support customer designs, engage with FPGA and adaptive SoC conversations, and help move opportunities from architecture to production.

You will collaborate with AMD sales, Avnet teams, and supplier partners, gain exposure to Vivado and Vitis, and develop demonstrations and proof-of-concepts. Relocation willingness and travel within the territory are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
• Entry level position typically with less than two years experience.
• Foundational knowledge of digital logic, computer architecture, embedded systems, and board-level electronics.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing, presentations, and discussions.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and relocate for career advancement.
• Exposure to Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL and FPGA development platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing account penetration plans focused on AMD adaptive SoCs, FPGAs, and embedded platforms within assigned markets and accounts.
• Present AMD product capabilities, development platforms, reference designs, and evaluation solutions to customers.
• Translate customer system requirements into an AMD-focused technical value proposition that supports device selection and design engagement.
• Support customer development using AMD Vivado Design Suite, Vitis, and related tools; assist with design entry, synthesis, timing, and debugging.
