Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Newark, CA is seeking an Associate Environmental Test Engineer to support and lead environmental testing programs for components and systems developed for key account projects.

You will design and execute test plans to evaluate performance, durability, and reliability under thermal, vibration, humidity, HALT and other environmental conditions, and prepare technical reports while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in testing/validation is required or highly preferred.
• Hands-on with test equipment and data analysis; knowledge of test automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute environmental test plans for performance, durability, and reliability under thermal, vibration, humidity, and combined environments.
• Develop and integrate electrical circuits and instrumentation for environmental testing and data acquisition.
• Automate test stands and control systems to improve efficiency, repeatability, and accuracy.
• Significant experience with environmental test specifications including vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, HALT, and ingress protection.
• Analyze test data and prepare detailed test workbooks and technical reports for cross-functional teams.
• Set components within test fixtures in environmental chambers prior to testing.
• Troubleshoot test setups to resolve issues and ensure data integrity.
