Job summary

Amgen seeks an Associate Engineer at its Rhode Island site to provide daily process, equipment, maintenance, and reliability engineering support. You will collaborate with multiple functions to resolve issues and improve operations, while maintaining Maximo records and participating in a rotating on‑call schedule.

The role requires a mix of hands-on technical work and cross‑functional interaction, with a focus on continuous improvement in commercial and clinical manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED and 6 years of engineering experience.
• Associate’s degree and 4 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Support operation, maintenance, and improvement of process systems used in manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot process equipment and control issues and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve operations.
• Analyze data and present recommendations for operational issues.
• Assist design, construction, and startup of new or modified systems.
• Maintain equipment records and preventive maintenance schedules in Maximo.
• Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.
