Job summary

Quantum in Centennial, CO seeks an Associate Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, testing, and improvement of tape drive and robotic storage systems under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will develop mathematical models, run experiments, analyze telemetry data, and apply Python, MATLAB, and other engineering tools to drive reliability and performance improvements across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in mechanical, electrical, robotics, or related engineering.
• Strong internships/research or co-op experience may be considered.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB or similar technical computing tools.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, testing, and improvement of tape drive and robotic storage systems.
• Assist in characterization of dynamics, motion control, and mechanical system behavior.
• Develop and optimize servo control systems for positioning and tension control.
