Job summary

NEOTech is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform product and process support in Chatsworth, CA. The role supports a multidisciplinary engineering staff with focus on manufacturing readiness and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in engineering (BS EE preferred), experience with Windows and MS Office, and the ability to read schematics and drawings. On-site work with required PPE and a strong teamwork mindset is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering or related coursework, BS in EE preferred.
• Experience with Windows OS and MS Office.
• ISO9000/AS9100 experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all ESD requirements.
• Perform risk management and FMEA processes.
• Interpret specifications, drawings and engineering instructions.
• Develop test and manufacturing work instructions.
• Support production line layouts in assembly and test areas.
• Train for IQ/OQ/PQ installations.
• Draft manufacturing work instructions.
• Maintain 6S and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams.

Job Location: Chatsworth 0NK55 - Chatsworth, CA 91311, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 Hourly, Job Shift: 1st, Job Category: Engineering, Summary: Perform implementation duties relating to product and process support. Can be part of multidisciplinary engineering staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all ESD requirements
• Risk Management/FMEA Process validation.
• Communication, both written and verbal, with customers and associates.
• Interpret specifications, drawings and engineering instructions.
• Develop test and manufacturing work instructions.
• Support production line layouts in the assembly and test areas.
• Draft product manufacturing work instructions.
• Must be able to be trained for the implementation of Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ).
• Exposure to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) or Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Train and perform Quality Management Systems cross functional internal audits.
• Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.
• Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

• Corrected vision with the ability to work with fine tools under a microscope
• Ability to work in a production environment wearing a smock, hairnet and face mask as required
• Ability to read and write English at an intermediate level

• Sense of urgency, successful in meeting company quality and production objectives

Experience/Education

• Associate degree in Engineering or additional coursework or on-the-job training in electronics or electrical engineering. BS Degree in EE preferred.
• Experienced using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office products
• Experience working for an ISO9000 or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus
