Job summary

NEOTech in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a QA Engineer to drive quality engineering requirements, support the Quality Management System, and ensure products meet company and customer standards. You will review manufacturing documentation, assist in calibration activities, and help implement Lean and ISO initiatives while liaising with customers on quality issues.

A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in QA in manufacturing are required; AS/620 knowledge and lean/six sigma familiarity are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. AS/AA degree preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in a quality organization working preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean and six sigma methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to ESD requirements and Board Handling.
• Follow MSD handling per component moisture sensitivity levels.
• Review supporting manufacturing documentation for inspection/testing.
• Support calibration and equipment databases for compliance with customer requirements.
• Assist 7-step problem solving and CAPA initiatives.
• Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives with metrics.
• Manage training for IPC and ISO procedures.
• Assist in RMA analysis and trend reporting to operations personnel.
• Liaise with customers on quality/reliability issues.
• Perform ISO internal audits and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Support Document and Data Control and site 6S objectives.

Job Details: Job Location: Chatsworth 0NK55 - Chatsworth, CA 91311, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary, Job Shift: 1st, Job Category: QA - Quality Control, Summary: Perform professional quality engineering requirements involving the application of procedural requirements and control criteria in the development and administration of quality procedures and techniques to assure the products meet and exceed company/customer standards. Provide support to the overall Quality Management System (QMS) in support of customer requirements, company goals and quality initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling.
• Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on component moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
• Review supporting manufacturing documentation to ensure it contains the necessary provisions to permit effective materials inspection and testing.
• Support of calibration and equipment databases to ensure compliance with customer requirements, FDA regulations & ISO specifications.
• Support Corrective Action/Preventative Action initiatives relating to assignment and verification & follow up from a 7-step problem solving methodology.
• Support Lean and Shingo initiatives by team participation and action item support, with required metric development and maintenance.
• Manage & support required technical and procedural training for IPC and ISO.
• Assist in maintaining & reviewing necessary training requirements as related to support of RMA analysis through shop orders and provides trend analysis to required operations personnel.
• Liaison to customer for all quality/reliability issues.
• Perform ISO internal audits.
• Perform First Article Inspections per AS9102.
• Support Document and Data Control departments as needed.
• Support and follow all ISO standards related to OnCore’s various Quality Management Systems. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
• Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity).
• Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.
• Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1 & 2.
• Knowledge of all IPC-A-610 Modules.
• Understanding of IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001 requirements.
• Ability to interpret all customer documents and related specifications.
• Above average capability in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Qualifications: Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or GED. AS/AA degree preferred.
