Job summary

Sallie Mae is seeking an Associate, Engineering in Indianapolis to support planning, administration, and technical support of operating system capabilities. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot software for new products and enhancements, working to follow best practices and project requirements.

The role involves testing, QA activities, troubleshooting, and creating thorough documentation and progress reports to communicate milestones and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of software development methodologies and principles.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and related tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1-2 years of experience in software engineering or a related technical role.

What You’ll Contribute
