Job summary

PACCAR Global Powertrain seeks an Associate System Performance Verification Engineer to support testing, verification, and system integration for advanced engine aftertreatment systems at the PACCAR Technical Center, Mount Vernon, WA. You will assist with verification activities, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical) or related; MS preferred.
• Understanding of heavy‑duty diesel emissions regulatory requirements including diagnostics.
• Knowledge of DOC, DPF, SCR & DEF diesel aftertreatment.
• Understanding engine control system strategies and diesel aftertreatment integration.
• Scripting/data analysis with MATLAB, Python or Minitab.
• Experience with engine test cell data collection, analysis and test planning.
• Experience with calibration/data-collection tools and engine control systems.
• Must be self-directed, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with defining and executing verification, testing activities for engine aftertreatment development.
• Collaborate with Engine Integration, OBD calibration and Vehicle Integration teams.
• Develop and execute continuous process improvements to enhance product quality and durability.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on new aftertreatment technologies and testing methods.
• Maintain positive relationships within PACCAR Technical Center and divisions.
