Job summary

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to safe, reliable supply chain solutions for our customers. Responsibilities include loading/unloading grain, operating loaders and other equipment, managing storage, and maintaining clean, safe facilities while following all safety protocols.

Night shifts and overtime may be required. This role demands physical stamina, adherence to PPE standards, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating heavy equipment used in grain facilities.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and compliance with PPE.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks and work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, etc.).
• Manage grain storage and move grain piles; keep bins and structures clean.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards promptly.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to support operations.

Job description

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating safe and reliable supply chain solutions for our customers.

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.)
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.
• Ability to work nights

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph).
• Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and working in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust
• Wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required
