Job summary

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team in Fremont, Nebraska. This role focuses on safely loading and unloading grain, weighing and grading, and operating heavy equipment to support efficient grain handling.

You will work outdoors in all weather, follow safety protocols, and lift up to 50 lbs. The position offers starting pay of $18-$19 per hour with overtime potential and room to grow within a team dedicated to reliable supply chain solutions.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical and drug screening required
• Overtime flexibility including nights, weekends, holidays
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions including extreme heat, cold and high winds
• Climb ladders, heights and work in confined spaces
• Work in environments with grain dust
• Wear PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses and safety footwear
• Ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.)
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.

This position has a starting rate between $18 - $19/HR for qualified candidates.

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.)
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph).
• Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and working in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust
• Wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required
