Job summary

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing safe and reliable supply chain solutions for customers. The starting pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading grain, operating heavy equipment, managing storage, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical and drug screening required.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable outdoors in extreme heat, cold and wind.
• Must climb ladders and work in confined spaces; PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload grain and assist with weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid-steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, and performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to support operations.
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required.

This position has a starting rate between $18 - $22/HR for qualified candidates.

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.)
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph).
• Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and working in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust
• Wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required
