McKinstry Essention, LLC is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer in Seattle to lead electrical system design and drive innovative, high-quality solutions for built environments.

You will mentor engineers, manage design timelines, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success. The role emphasizes standards development and client engagement in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience required.
• Professional Engineer registration and ability to acquire licensure in additional states required.
• Experience in the design and construction of commercial and light industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to evaluate power systems and perform arc flash, short-circuit, coordination studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of electrical projects including building distribution, lighting, emergency power, and medium-voltage campus systems.
• Mentor project engineers and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
• Develop and maintain electrical engineering standards and ensure adherence across projects.
• Engage with clients and coordinate with utility providers and regulatory bodies.
