Michigan Farm Bureau seeks an Associate Editor for Member Publications to research, report and develop timely agricultural news and feature content for members across print and digital platforms. You will work within editorial priorities and coordinate with the Lead Editor, Farm News Media Manager and others to ensure high-quality journalism.
Responsibilities include researching and interviewing sources, developing story angles, and moving assignments through editing and publication processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of professional writing, journalism, or editorial experience required.
- Experience developing news/content for print and/or digital platforms required.
- Experience conducting interviews and researching stories to develop engaging content required.
Responsabilités
- Research, report, and develop news and feature content for Michigan Farm News print and digital platforms.
- Execute assigned stories and content priorities with editors and publication processes.
- Monitor agricultural news and policy developments to identify potential stories and opportunities.
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and staff to publish content across print and digital channels.
