• Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to travel locally.

Job description

• Develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems
• Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements
• Perform structural analysis for wood pole loading and guying calculations
• Specify conductor sags and tensions for recommended spans
• Calculate voltage drop and flicker
• Provide engineering support during construction
• Conduct post-construction reviews for engineering and construction standards compliance
• Conduct root cause analysis of outages and develop mitigation using engineering principles and design
• Coordinate conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements
• Assess and develop large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments
• Develop work permits, easements, and right-of-way applications
• Work directly with clients to maintain high-quality deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred) with 0+ years of experience
• Experience with NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and GIS a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to utilize a personal vehicle
• Willingness to perform both field and office work
• Ability to work in outdoor environments on occasion
• Customer-site visits may be required to collect field data
