Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the United States (SC, Aiken) to design single line diagrams, control schematics, and perform technical calculations for processing facilities.

The role requires knowledge of national codes (IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, OSHA), ETAP, and Arc Flash analysis, with emphasis on collaboration and innovative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university with relevant professional engineering experience.
• Knowledge of advanced engineering principles and practices to develop outputs.
• Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards including IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA.
• Experience with DCS and PLC interfaces.
• Proficiency with 2D MicroStation v8 CADD.
• Ability to perform walkdowns.
• Experience with ETAP and Arc Flash Hazard analysis.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop Single Line Diagrams, Controls Schematics, Circuit/Raceway/Wiring/Connections, Grounding, and Heat Tracing designs.
• Perform technical calculations.
• Select and size electrical equipment.
• Develop electrical equipment procurement requirements, specifications, and data sheets.
• Perform vendor drawing reviews, design reviews, and CGD.
• Own technical aspects for project phases or unit operations.
• Plan and develop conventional engineering solutions using SRMC methodologies.
• Provide project and facility engineering support.
• Collaborate to improve existing processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Develop Single Line Diagrams, Controls Schematics, Circuit/Raceway/Wiring/Connections, Grounding, and Heat Tracing designs


• Perform technical calculations


• Select and size electrical equipment


• Develop electrical equipment procurement requirements, specifications, and data sheets


• Perform vendor drawing reviews, design reviews, and commercial grade dedication (CGD)


• Assume technical responsibility for one or more phases of a program and/or ownership for unit operations within processing facilities


• Plan and develop conventional engineering and scientific solutions for technical problems or project objectives using SRMC engineering methodologies and requirements


• Provide project engineering and facility engineering support


• Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative improvements to existing processes


• Perform other duties as assigned
