Job summary

UCLA Theater Management Services at Royce Hall seeks an Associate Director of Visitor Experience to lead daily visitor services and front-of-house operations, creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for audiences, artists, and campus partners.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role directly supervises up to three Visitor Experience Leads and supports a team of more than 70 staff members, handling recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management,

Qualifications

• Experience in managing public events, large or small, with attention to safety and guest experience.
• Ability to recruit, train, schedule, coach and manage performance of staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with standard software used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily visitor services and front-of-house operations.
• Supervise up to three Visitor Experience Leads and a team of over 70 staff.
• Coordinate guest services, concessions, event security, VIP needs, and event logistics.
• Serve as House Manager for select performances and complex events.
