Job summary

UCLA’s Theater Management Services seeks an Associate Director of Visitor Experience to lead daily visitor services and front-of-house operations at Royce Hall. You will recruit, train, schedule, coach, and manage a team of staff and leads, coordinating guest services, concessions, security, VIP needs, and event logistics for a broad range of performances.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skill in house-managing a variety of public events, including large- & small-scale productions, receptions, etc (Required)
• Ability to perform duties independently, in a self-directed, prioritized manner with appropriate follow-thru, to meet internal and external deadlines (Required)
• Ability to initiate projects and direct workers through specific tasks & deadlines in an organized, professional manner (Required)
• Physical ability to perform event duties that involve walking, stooping, bending, stretching, climbing, pulling, pushing and extended periods of standing (Required)
• Flexibility to work overtime and variable shifts depending on event needs (Required)
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (Required)
• Proficiency in using computers and software programs used by the department (Required)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and poise with diverse audiences (Required)
• Ability to be a team player and build relationships across campus (Required)
• High level of responsiveness and discretion (Required)
• High standards of personal hygiene and groomed appearance (Required)
