Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director to lead procurement category strategies for Third Party Manufacturing (TPM), including primary and secondary packaging. You will partner with Directors and VP-level stakeholders to ensure end-to-end sourcing and execution while driving cost savings and supplier collaboration.

The role emphasizes workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and strategic supplier partnerships within a complex matrixed setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Mgmt, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in procurement, supply chain, or related function; leadership experience.
• Strong negotiator with proven supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Director/VP-level stakeholders to develop and implement strategic procurement strategies.
• Contribute to annual strategic plans, cost breakdown analysis and total cost of ownership.
• Analyze spend patterns and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Conduct market research to monitor industry trends and technologies.
• Drive supplier collaboration to achieve cost savings, innovation, and risk management.
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes from sourcing to contract execution.
