Easterseals NH is launching the Technology Hill Early Learning Center in Londonderry, NH. We seek an Associate Director to lead daily operations, staffing, compliance, and development of classrooms.

Under the Senior Director, you will recruit, train, coach teachers, ensure licensing and accreditation standards, enrollments, and family engagement, while fostering inclusive services. This full-time role supports growth and high-quality early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with experience in licensed child development programs.
  • Ability to obtain NH Early Childhood Professional Development credential within 6 months of hire.
  • Meet NH Child Care Licensing Unit requirements for Center Director.
  • 1–3 years supervisory/administrative experience in early childhood.
  • Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of assigned classrooms and age groups, including staffing, enrollment, and census.
  • Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching to maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios.
  • Develop and implement policies aligning with regulations, accreditation criteria, and safety standards.
  • Ensure full center enrollment and accurate enrollment data reporting for stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective parent communication and program outreach materials.
  • Coordinate staffing for coverage and emergencies; support teachers in classrooms.
  • Coach staff on developmentally appropriate practices and classroom management; ensure NAEYC standards.

Job Description:

Easterseals NH is excited to launch the brand-new Technology Hill Early Learning Center in Londonderry, NH. We are seeking a passionate, collaborative, and highly organized Associate Director to help build an exceptional early childhood program from the ground up.

Under the general supervision of the Senior Director, the Associate Director is responsible for the overall management, operations, compliance, supervision, and development of assigned classrooms and age groups within the Technology Hill Early Learning Center.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Human Services, or a related field, with at least five (5) years of experience in a licensed child development program is required OR:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Human Services, or a related field, with at least three (3) years of experience in a licensed child development program, is preferred
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a New Hampshire Early Childhood Professional Development credential within six (6) months of hire date
  • The ability to meet NH Child Care Licensing Unit’s requirements for ‘Center Director’ required
  • One to three years (1-3) of experience in a supervisory or administrative role in the early childhood field, required.
  • Certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED required.
  • Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the assigned classrooms/age groups, including but not limited to, maintaining program census, ensuring adequate staffing coverage, staff supervision, performance management, student enrollment and discharge, etc.
  • Assist the Senior Director in recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching employees, while ensuring appropriate teacher-to-child ratios.
  • Partner with the Senior Director to assist with the development, implementation, and continuation of policies, procedures and operations that are consistent with local, state and federal regulations, NAEYC Accreditation criteria and agency requirements regarding education, health and safety of children and their environment.
  • Assist the Senior Director to ensure full enrollment of the Center, track daily census, as well as enter & maintain child and family enrollment data, statistics, and reports required by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain respectful and supportive individual relationships with parents and prospective parents through effective communication in person, via phone and email, in handbooks, and program outreach materials.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to ensure adequate staffing to meet needs of children and licensing and accreditation requirements, including planning for and scheduling adequate substitution resources to meet needs for staff emergencies or vacations, as well as assisting teachers in classroom.
  • Observe, coach, support, and assist with training early childhood teaching staff on the implementation of developmentally appropriate classroom strategies, classroom management practices, NAEYC guidelines and regulations, and behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Oversee curriculum planning & development for early childhood teaching staff to ensure appropriate curriculum and lessons are integrated across all abilities and developmental domains in classrooms.
  • Partner with the program’s Senior Director, Children’s Therapeutic Services Program, the Director of Intake & Family Services, and external community partners (as appropriate) to ensure a positive and inclusive classroom experience for children with disabilities and other special needs.
  • Support & coach early childhood teaching teams to deliver high-quality services and trauma-informed care focused teaching practices to children with disabilities, social & emotional challenges, disruptive or physically aggressive behavior.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director and the Director of Intake & Family Services (as relevant) to identify community programming needs, family engagement activities, and referral & resource needs relating to welfare, health, and safety concerns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the program by answering incoming phone calls, accepting Procare payments, greeting guests, and assisting the Senior Director with related outward facing duties.
  • Advocate for children and families on the local and state levels and become active in professional organizations.
  • Actively assist the Senior Director with business planning initiatives, KPI and metric tracking, etc.
  • Promote, train, and follow all NH Child Care Licensing Unit rules & regulations, as well as NAEYC standards.
Hours:

Full Time Monday - Friday (ANTICIPATED START DATE OF MID-FALL 2026)

Compensation:

$65,000 - $70,720 (based on experience & credentials)
