Atwell, LLC, in Newark, DE, seeks an Associate Director of Survey to lead and grow the surveying practice. You will shape strategy, guide project teams, and strengthen local client partnerships with a focus on accuracy and service.

You will oversee technical standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with engineering and planning teams to deliver integrated solutions. A Delaware license and leadership track record are essential.

Qualifications

• Delaware Professional Survey license is required with preference for additional state credentials.
• Demonstrated leadership in land surveying with proven project leadership experience.
• Strong relationships within regional surveying, land development, and municipal communities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the survey practice with a strategic plan aligned to growth and client satisfaction.
• Mentor project managers, field crews, and office staff to build technical and leadership skills.
• Maintain client relationships and foster new partnerships in the region.
• Provide senior technical oversight and establish standards for deliverables.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, invoicing, and profitability for the survey group.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions.
