The role partners with the online vendor and campus offices to ensure retention and satisfaction of online students.

The role drives retention strategies, campus residency insights, and program improvements, working across registrar, financial aid, and student services.

The incumbent serves as the liaison to the online programs service partner, and campus student services offices.The primary focus of the Associate Director includes, but is not limited to:Work in conjunction with the online vendor partner to successfully retain cohorts of online students per year.Work with the Director and online partner to sustain the needs of the programs in student success, student affairs, and operational support.Develop and implement innovative strategies, initiatives, partnerships, and programs that ensure successful matriculation and retention of high-caliber students for the online graduate business program.Collaboration with online vendor partners, registrar, bursar, financial aid offices, Campus Student Success, and other program infrastructures is essential.This position supports key revenue-supporting initiatives for the Mason School of Business.The position may collaborate internally with Undergraduate Business Programs, Military Transitions, Career Management, Corporate Relations, Cohen Career Center, Alumni Relations, and Marketing and Communication to ensure the overall satisfaction and success of the program’s students, faculty, and staff.Job Description:Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in business, education, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Several years of related work experience in a higher education setting.Demonstrates knowledge of best practices, trends, and technology in graduate admissions education.Demonstrates strong computer and communication skills.Must be a strong self-starter and demonstrate strong collaboration skills and competencies.Analytical skills to evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to make sound decisions accordingly.Demonstrated ability to advocate for policy and process improvements, additions, and changes.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues and stakeholders in a professional, mature, andtactful manner.Experience in Registrar’s and/or Financial Aid Office operational function and advising.High attention to detail.Experience working with programs targeted for online students.Conditions of Employment:Weekend and/or evening work required, as needed, including onsite management two to four weekends a year.Some overnight domestic travel may be required.Duties:30% - Student Success:Responsible for communications with online partner Student Success Coordinators regarding any student success matters.Responsible for communicating and advising students regarding any sensitive student success matters.Responsible for management and support of the online tutor system (requests, student vetting, training, etcetera).Responsible for Student Retention and Escalation Protocol.Responsible for student enrollment matters, such as but not all-inclusive semester registrations – work with the Graduate Registrar to ensure correct courses are being offered for the semester based on the program wheels;
