Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks an Associate Director for Student Government, Student Engagement & Student Union to provide visionary leadership and day-to-day advisement for the SGA and divisions. This role will develop student leadership and support experiential learning across a broad range of campus life programs.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the position supervises the SGA Services Manager and collaborates with a team of professionals advancing student engagement,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Counseling, Higher Ed Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of full-time experience in higher ed student affairs.
• Expertise in student development, program coordination, student leader advisement, and effective leadership programming.
• Knowledge of issues, trends, policies and best practices relevant to student government.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for the Associate Director unit overseeing Student Government, Student Engagement & Student Union.
• Advise the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the Student Government Association and related divisions.
• Develop leadership skills through advising, training, and experiential learning for students.
• Supervise the SGA Services Manager and collaborate with a professional team supporting student engagement.
• Support campus activities, orientation, fraternity & sorority life, and student organizations across campus.
