Job summary

The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania seeks an Associate Director for Student Engagement and Peer Mentorship to lead the Student Life Fellows program and advise MBA student organizations. This role reports to the Senior Associate Director of MBA Student Life and collaborates across the Office of Student Life.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 5–7 years in student affairs or related higher education functions.
  • Experience designing and facilitating training programs/workshops.
  • Experience advising student organizations on budgeting, events, and governance.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of the Student Life Fellows (SLF) program, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and recognition.
  • Design and deliver a multi-phase SLF training curriculum with onboarding and ongoing development.
  • Launch and grow the SLF Peer Mentoring initiative (Fall 2026).
  • Build and manage an SLF alumni database to support ongoing development.
  • Advise MBA student clubs on programming, governance, budgeting, and transitions.
  • Support MBA events and traditions in coordination with the Office of Student Life.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Student Life colleagues, MBA Admissions, Finance, HR, and campus partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
