Who We Are Looking For

VML is seeking an Associate Director Strategy to work on an iconic global brand. The Associate Director Strategy will leverage intelligence insights to tell impactful stories from research through creative development, communication planning, and campaign evaluation. The ideal candidate has a curious, collaborative nature and can inspire impactful communication.

Responsibilities

• Work within the strategy team on strategy development, brief creation, campaign performance monitoring, and client communications.
• Partner with account leadership to manage client relationships.
• Inspire creative teams and examine brand communication strategies, especially within sports and culture.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources including market data, research, cultural trends, and competitive analysis.
• Ensure client deliverables are executed flawlessly and aligned with strategy.
• Encourage collaboration and innovative thinking between strategy and creative teams.
• Use your expertise to motivate and guide the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in brand strategy, marketing consulting, or advertising, with an interest in sports and/or running.
• Ability to think creatively and resourcefully.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of cultural trends impacting sports/athletic worlds and ability to translate into insights.
• Ability to lead in a collaborative, diverse environment.
• Self-starter with ownership of work and experience in developing client presentations and leading meetings.
