Job summary

BioSpace is seeking an Associate Director to lead cross-functional programs from concept through commercialization, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards. The role spans R&D, CMC, regulatory and commercial functions and acts as an independent voice to shape strategies.

The AD will mentor teams, identify risks, coordinate resources, and report progress to senior leadership, partnering with external alliances as needed to drive portfolio success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline or related field is required; PhD preferred.
• 10+ years in pharmaceutical industry with multi-functional project teams.
• Experience in drug discovery and development.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and CMC changes.
• Strong project management and risk mitigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Development Program Lead to foster a high performing team.
• Lead creation of team norms and operating principles.
• Act as an integrator to ensure alignment across DPT and enterprise.
• Facilitate science-based business decisions and risk assessment.
• Develop resource plans and track deliverables.
• Communicate program status to senior leadership regularly.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and program management tools.
