Job summary

Vir Biotechnology, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Research Program leader to drive integrated planning and cross-functional execution across partnered and internal programs from discovery through early clinical development.

You will manage milestones, risks, and governance, partnering with CMO, Alliance Management, TechOps, and other functions to ensure seamless transitions from research into development. This role demands proactive leadership and strong scientific acumen in a biotech setting.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in drug development with project management
• Ability to drive complex activities, make informed decisions, and deliver results
• Experience leading cross-functional programs across discovery to early development

Responsibilities

• Lead partnered and internal research programs from discovery through early development.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, assumptions, dependencies.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and align on objectives and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting timelines and objectives.
• Support governance activities for portfolio reviews and stage gates.
• Coordinate with external partners and internal functions for transition to development.
