Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an Associate Director to advance student potential by collaborating with the teacher and leading small-group delivery of individualized services.

You will monitor behavior, track progress, and communicate with parents and district personnel to reinforce learning and skills. Responsibilities include regular classroom observation, staff supervision, and maintaining excellent program quality while ensuring licensing compliance and strong

Qualifications

• Credentials in Education or a related field; MD Special Education Teaching Certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities is strongly preferred.
• School leadership experience preferred.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check per local regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all students are educated in accordance with their IEPs
• Observation of classrooms on a regular basis and provide staff feedback
• Weekly staff meetings and coordination with Regional activities
• Attending monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; show growth and goal completion
• Reporting facilities issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution
• Communicating with parents, supervisors, and district personnel
• Involving parents in the educational program and regular parent education events
• Ensuring state licensing health, safety and well-being policies are followed
• Forging and maintaining stakeholder relationships with district officials and parents
