Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an Associate Director to advance student potential while collaborating with teachers in delivering individualized services to small groups. You will monitor behavior, track progress, and reinforce skills through our proven model.

You will supervise staff, participate in weekly meetings, and coordinate regional activities including Director’s Meetings and Goal Reviews, while ensuring compliance with IEPs and licensing policies.

Qualifications

• Credentials in Education or a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all students are educated in accordance with their IEPs.
• Observation of classrooms regularly with feedback forms.
• Weekly staff meetings for information, suggestions and issues of concern.
• Attending and participating in Regional activities including a weekly Director’s Meeting.
• Attending and participating in a monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; demonstrating growth.
• Reporting facilities issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
• Communicating with parents, supervisors, and district personnel.
• Involving parents in the educational program and providing parent education events.
• Ensuring state licensing policies relating to health, safety and well-being are followed.
• Forging and maintaining stakeholder relationships and providing excellent customer service.
• Performing staff Supervisions including monthly Goal Reviews.
• Ensuring staff follow school and company policies to maintain program quality.
• Maintaining records including financial, licensing, student, and employee files.
• Communicating regularly with all supervisors to ensure proper support is available.
• Identifying staff and program needs and obtaining professional development opportunities.
• Role modeling professional demeanor to staff, parents, and district personnel.
