Job summary

SHINE Technologies, LLC is seeking an Associate Director of Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting to support technical accounting research, external financial reporting, and internal control activities as a public company. The role reports to the Sr.

Director and partners with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and auditors to ensure accurate, timely disclosures. The base salary range is $165,000 to $185,000 per year, plus a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license or pursuing.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting and/or corporate technical accounting or SEC reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements (10-K/10-Q).
• Experience researching and documenting complex accounting matters (ASC 606, 842, 805, 718).
• SOX internal controls experience and liaising with external auditors.
• Experience with SEC reporting and XBRL tools; strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex accounting concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced public-company environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and document accounting treatments for complex transactions under U.S. GAAP.
• Draft technical accounting memoranda and present findings to management and external auditors.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and SEC rule changes; assess impact on disclosures.
• Assist in developing and updating accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review periodic SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and proxy disclosures.
• Coordinate close and external reporting timelines across departments.
• Prepare footnote disclosures and review XBRL tagging.
• Support earnings releases and investor communications.
• Support design, documentation, and testing of ICFR; work with external auditors.
• Mentor junior staff and lead special projects including M&A due diligence.
