Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Associate Director in Transaction Management to oversee planning and acquisition of property rights for the Capital Program. You will help develop leasing strategies to generate revenue for MTA agencies, working with legal, procurement, planning, and capital construction teams.

The role requires leadership, strong negotiation and time management, and a solid background in commercial real estate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in real estate, real estate development, architecture, or urban planning.
• Minimum 5 years in commercial real estate with property acquisitions experience.
• Experience coordinating with multiple departments and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the real estate portfolio across multiple MTA agencies.
• Negotiate leases, licenses, and license agreements for licensing space.
• Coordinate with legal, procurement, planning, and construction teams.
• Support development of leasing strategies to generate revenue.
• Prepare proposals and staff summaries for internal approvals.
