Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director for Operational Excellence & Business Analytics to translate performance data into actionable insights across the external manufacturing network. You will lead lean initiatives, develop standardized metrics, and drive data-driven decision making with cross-functional partners.

You will mentor teams in lean methods, guide governance, and push for AI and automation solutions to improve efficiency and readiness.

Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other improvement methodologies in GMP environments.
• 8–12 years in pharma/manufacturing or MS&T with transformation leadership.
• Experience developing KPIs and dashboards across multi-site networks.
• Strong data analysis and root-cause problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute a portfolio of manufacturing improvement initiatives.
• Build integrated performance dashboards and standard metrics.
• Lead change management and sustain improvements through governance.
• Provide executive-ready materials and scenario analyses.
