Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs US Advertising and Promotion-Oncology to lead strategy and cross-functional teams across Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal and Public Affairs. They will guide multidivisional initiatives, analyze trends, and oversee complex processes with a strong emphasis on compliance and strategic execution.

The role requires a solid regulatory advertising knowledge, matrix-environment experience, and excellence in communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science required; advanced degrees preferred (Master’s/PhD or PharmD).
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical experience; oncology ad promo experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of regulatory advertising and promotion regulations.
• Experience working in a complex and matrix environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams and multidivisional initiatives.
• Maintain and evaluate productivity metrics to project business needs.
• Coordinate with Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal and Public Affairs partners for seamless execution.
• Assist in budget management and forecast expenditures for the department.
• Analyze issues/trends affecting the business to identify cross-organizational opportunities.
• Operate independently with senior guidance as needed and oversee day-to-day operations in absence of the Director.
• Mentor staff, recognize performance, and support development and promotions.
• Develop and deliver strategic presentations for senior management.
