- 49-bed inpatient facility with an outpatient clinic and walk-in fracture clinic located in North Philadelphia
- Outreach clinics in Doylestown, PA and San Juan, Puerto Rico

- Specialties Orthopedics, Spine/Spinal Cord, Sports Medicine, Pediatric Surgery, Craniofacial, Rheumatology, Pediatric Rehabilitation/Therapy, Urology
- Partnerships with Temple University, Thomas Jefferson University, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Drexel University, and the University of Pennsylvania
The Associate Director of Philanthropy is responsible for working independently to develop relationships and deepen engagement with current donors to support Shriners Children’s Philadelphia. This position is responsible for identifying and cultivating prospective donors from communities in the hospital’s service territory to increase financial support. Activities include soliciting major gifts, nurturing donor relationships through regular contact, communication with and recognition of donors.
This is an
onsite position at our Philadelphia facility.
- In collaboration with the Sr. Director, Donor Development, create a strategic gift solicitation plan to increase retention and generate larger gifts from current donors and prospects to the Philadelphia facility. Manage a portfolio of 100 - 120 individual and foundation donors
- Donor visits will be expected in person, when possible
- Employ moves management strategies to build relationships, deepen donor engagement and increase retention of current and potential donors to our hospital.
- Solicit and close gifts
- Research, prepare and submit foundation proposals
- Record all donor-related activities accurately and timely in Blackbaud CRM
- Provide required reports in a timely manner to the Sr. Director of Development
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with all the philanthropy team and all departments at the Philadelphia hospital

Minimum
- 3 years of progressive fundraising experience
- 1 year of working in major giving programs
- Track record of fundraising accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
- Working knowledge of planned giving vehicles and prior experience with charitable gift annuity programs
- Working knowledge of CRM or comparable data base system
- Experience in healthcare fundraising
- Experience working in planned giving programs
