Saint Michael's College invites applications for an Associate Director of Human Resources. This role serves as a strategic HR partner and primary contact for assigned departments, reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

You will advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring policy compliance. The position requires 5–7 years of HR experience, strong knowledge of higher education HR practices, and a commitment to an inclusive

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Human Resources experience.
• HR experience in higher education is a plus.
• Proficient in HR principles and processes for recruitment/selection, compensation, employee/labor relations, and employee safety.
• Knowledge of Vermont and Federal employment laws and regulations including ADA/ FMLA/ VPFL/ FLSA.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary HR partner to assigned departments, providing strategic consultation and responsive HR support.
• Advise supervisors and employees on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational development, policy interpretation, and employment practices.
• Lead the resolution of employee relations matters and workplace concerns while ensuring compliance with policies, CBAs, and employment laws.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop HR staff for growth and high-quality service.
• Coordinate recruitment, compensation administration, leave management, immigration processes, onboarding, offboarding, and workforce reporting.
• Partner with the Director to advance departmental priorities, process improvements, and organizational effectiveness.
• Promote a culture of trust, inclusion, professionalism, responsiveness, and excellent customer service.
