Overview:

The Associate Director of Content Production leads all photo and video initiatives while managing a team of 3-7 individuals. They provide pre- and post-production guidance with a strong presence on-set during production. They help to craft stories through video, photography, and other new media to achieve internal and external objectives, ultimately driving revenue and ensuring production costs remain low.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the content team and create opportunities for team members to grow and develop their skills.
  • Attend all video and photo shoots to serve as on-site director; strong presence on-set.
  • Craft stories through video, photography and new media to achieve objectives for internal and external clients; partner on the creation of storyboards/scripts to ensure a cohesive visual storytelling approach.
  • Review content team’s video, photo, and media projects and provide feedback.
  • Build new content opportunities and products by expertly applying principles of ethical storytelling, showing high degree of comfort with digital content, and exploring new formats and emerging technologies.
  • Set the course for the content team in terms of operational proficiency and excellence, and provide guidance for delivering strategic, forward-thinking results.
  • Build strong relationships both inside and outside the organization.
  • Create a culture of collaboration and strives to empower the team to create an energized work environment.
  • Show proficient understanding in content trends.
  • Assist with video and photo editing as needed.
  • Continuously seeks feedback from stakeholders to improve process and deliver exceptional results.
  • Lead & manage all aspects of integrated production from concept through completion: SOW development, budgeting, project plan and calendar, vendor sourcing/ contracts, billing and invoice tracking, and project management.
  • Research and maintain relationships with vendors and production partners to ensure best-in-class production output.
  • Support sales efforts to ultimately drive revenue.
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Journalism, Video Production, Communications, or a related field preferred but not required; 2-5 years of experience working in an integrated role at a fast-paced agency or production company.

Skills & Abilities:

A nimble and creative talent, able to lead a project independently, with minimal supervision. 1+ years of leadership experience. Entrepreneurial spirit with the ambition to grow the Digital team through content efforts and expand the agency’s production capabilities. Project management experience. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently on multiple projects, meeting strict deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical skills

Computer Skills/Tools & Technology:

Proficient Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac systems. Knowledge of multimedia video production gear, function and assembly and software programs. Proficient knowledge of the entire video production process. Editing skills in Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro and/or graphic design skills are preferred.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to be able to: sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and/or other peripherals. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Identify and understand the speech of another person. Communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Light to moderate lifting may be required from time-to-time up to 30 lbs.

Work Environment:
