• Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation and evaluation of care delivery models for multiple units.
• Manage day-to-day operations of nursing service.
• Develop nursing service policies with senior leadership and medical staff.
• Create staffing plan and direct selection of nursing personnel.
• Ensure efficiency and compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
• Supervise assistant directors of nursing and evaluate staff performance.
• Analyze patient experience and staff engagement data for improvements.
• Support nursing governance and Magnet principles.
• Oversee workforce planning and professional development of nursing staff.
• Participate in research projects and maintain nursing operations records.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the implementation and evaluation of care delivery models for multiple units.
• Assume responsibility for day-to-day operations of nursing service.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, or equivalent field required
• Experience:
  • Minimum of six years of satisfactory nursing experience, with four years in a supervisory, teaching, or administrative capacity
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State
