About This Role

The Associate Director of Nursing for Nursing Administration is a key member of the management team, responsible for overseeing patient care and staffing while collaborating with clinical nursing directors to achieve organizational goals.

• Schedule: Full-Time, Night (12:00 A.M – 8 A.M), 35 Hours per Week

What You'll Do

• Assume 24-hour nursing responsibilities for all elements of patient care and staffing.
• Interpret organizational goals, mission, vision, and policies to staff.
• Oversee daily operations of the Department of Medicine and Critical Services.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage for assigned units.
• Conduct risk assessments to reduce adverse events.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety principles.
• Participate in the recruitment process and monitor staff retention.
• Ensure performance appraisals are ongoing and objective.
• Participate in the development and monitoring of the Quality Improvement Program.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, or an equivalent field required.

Experience: Minimum of six years of satisfactory nursing experience, with four years in a supervisory, teaching, or administrative capacity required.

Licenses & Certifications: Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
