Job summary

The University of Notre Dame's Human Neuroimaging Center seeks an Associate Director to provide leadership and coordination for the Center’s research portfolio, working with the Center Director and faculty to drive innovative neuroimaging research.

You will coordinate interdisciplinary projects, mentor researchers, and ensure compliance with IRB and funding standards while advancing the Center’s national and international profile.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a related field required.
• Demonstrated experience with human neuroimaging research.
• Strong understanding of MRI/fMRI/DTI/EEG and study design.
• Experience coordinating complex multi-investigator programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Center's research programs with methodological rigor.
• Partner with faculty to shape short- and long-term research priorities.
• Monitor developments in neuroimaging methods, open science, and policy.
• Support grant proposals, including aims, methods, timelines, and data plans.
• Assist with reporting for funded projects and compliance documentation.
• Identify funding opportunities and communicate them to teams.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent neuroimaging projects and collaborations.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal/external collaborators.
• Ensure IRB/NIH/NSF compliance and standardized workflows.
• Track outcomes (publications, grants, collaborations) and suggest process improvements.
• Mentor staff and trainees in neuroimaging practices and workflows.
• Contribute to trainings, workshops, and external engagements.
