Job summary

University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for an open-rank, tenured or tenure-track faculty position in Human Neuroscience to serve as the Director of the UCSB Brain Imaging Center (BIC). The ideal candidate will lead a cutting-edge research program in human neuroscience with leadership and funding development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. in Psychological and Brain Sciences or related neuroimaging field (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years in a Tenure Track position (Assistant Prof. or equivalent) or current Associate Professor or higher.
• Minimum of 4 years using MRI brain imaging technology.
• Preferred: 5+ years direct MRI brain imaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for UCSB Brain Imaging Center (BIC).
• Oversee scanner access policies, annual budgeting, and reporting.
• Coordinate protocols for incidental findings and equipment upgrades.
• Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and service within the department.
