Job summary

S&P Global Energy is seeking an Associate Director in the Metals & Mining group to lead a team delivering asset-driven cost models across the minerals value chain. You will influence product and data roadmaps while strengthening relationships with diverse stakeholders.

The role emphasizes leadership, advanced modeling, and a strong commercial mindset to translate ideas into market-ready solutions within a global energy data platform.

Qualifications

• Experience creating bottoms-up economic models, preferably for the mining or commodities industry.
• Proven track record of successful people leadership.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High technical literacy with delivery toolsets (excel, SQL, python etc.)
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to work with many stakeholders and take product from idea to reality.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of analyst to create asset driven cost models for a variety of critical minerals covering both the upstream and midstream
• Provide subject matter expert input to refine the client user interface
• Work with other teams on product & data roadmaps
• Build an understanding of customer needs and work towards maintaining strong working relationships with customers
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other groups and stakeholders across the entire S&P Global business
