Health care professionals design and implement research and educate colleagues and students. Lilly Oncology has established a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) program to support these Scientific Experts (SEs) in gaining deep knowledge of scientific and clinical information. The Lilly Oncology MSL program supports this by maintaining deep therapeutic knowledge about Lilly and competitor products and current issues in oncology. In this role, you will gather feedback and insights from SEs to inform Lilly’s research and strategic direction of the Oncology Business Unit. By providing relevant answers and facilitating scientific exchange, you will help shape the future of healthcare with meaningful clinical and scientific information.

Developing mutually beneficial relationships

You will spend 70-80% of your time developing relationships with external clients: SEs, educators, and investigators within a defined geography. You will serve as a Lilly representative, providing disease state and product information, and facilitating the work of SEs. When appropriate, you will connect SEs with internal Lilly resources and report clinical insights and customer questions to medical affairs and other teams.

Understanding and effectively communicating current scientific knowledge

  • Masters or bachelor’s degree in health sciences (e.g., RN, RPh, PA, NP) with 5+ years of clinical or medical information experience in oncology.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship expected).
