Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader in inventory finance to own data governance for inventory, COGS, and product costing. You will design validation routines, investigate anomalies, and drive scalable reconciliation processes while partnering with Finance, Operations, Product, and Data teams to improve financial integrity.

The role requires deep inventory accounting expertise, cloud data warehouse experience, and strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in inventory finance, operations finance, inventory product ownership, or similar
• Deep understanding of how inventory activity flows into accounting and financial reporting
• Strong foundation in inventory and COGS accounting, including standard costing, BOMs, and valuation
• Experience with reconciliations, exception management, and data quality controls in dynamic environments
• Experience building automated reconciliations, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and data quality monitoring
• Hands-on SQL to investigate and reconcile large inventory datasets
• Exposure to cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Fluency with modern reporting tools and advanced Excel
• Experience in manufacturing or multi-site production environments
• Exposure to audit readiness, internal controls, or pre-IPO environments
• Ability to collaborate across Finance, Operations, Product, and Data teams
• Ability to translate system behavior into clear financial insights for executives
• Track record of bringing structure to ambiguous, high-impact problems

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience across inventory finance, operations finance, inventory product ownership, or similar fields
• Deep understanding of how inventory activity flows through operational systems into accounting and financial reporting
• Strong accounting foundation in inventory and COGS, including standard costing, bills of materials, and inventory valuation
• Strong experience with reconciliations, exception management, and data quality controls in complex or fast-changing environments
• Building automated reconciliations, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and data quality monitoring
• Hands-on SQL proficiency sufficient to investigate and reconcile large inventory datasets independently
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)

• Experience in fast-growing, operationally complex environments that involve manufacturing or multi-site production
