UC San Diego Health's Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine seeks an Associate Director for the Immunogenetics and Transplantation Laboratory (HLA) to lead clinical testing and administrative operations across UCSD Health and Lifesharing programs.

The role includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and engaging in translational and clinical research collaborations with UCSD and affiliated institutions.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification/eligibility by the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in CP/AP-CP or equivalent.
• California medical license or eligible per Medical Board of California.
• CDPH Clinical Histocompatibility Laboratory Director licensure eligibility.
• ACHI subspecialty certification requirements as Affiliate/Diplomate/Fellow.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Immunogenetics and Transplantation Laboratory (HLA) at UC San Diego Health CALM and associated centers.
• Oversee clinical and administrative duties, teaching of students, residents, and fellows.
• Support translational and clinical research collaborations with UC San Diego and affiliates.
