Job summary

Impact Justice in Oakland, CA seeks an experienced second-in-command for The Housing Lab to oversee THP operations across sites and guide day-to-day program delivery. You will supervise staff, manage projects, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and funder requirements.

You will partner with the Director to translate strategy into actionable work, maintain cross-functional alignment, and contribute to expansion efforts while upholding commitments to participants, hosts, and communities

Qualifications

• Four years of professional training/education or closely related experience.
• At least six years of relevant experience; five years in program leadership and five years in people management.
• Experience supervising multi-role teams and hiring, onboarding, and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision – Directly supervise THP program staff across sites, set expectations, provide feedback, and lead annual reviews.
• Team Culture – Create a healthy, accountable team culture with engagement opportunities.
• Program Operations and Project Management – Oversee day-to-day THP operations, intake, placement, host recruitment, timelines, and SOPs.
• Alignment and Execution – Translate strategy into priorities and actions; keep cross-functional teams aligned.
• External Representation – Maintain knowledge of partnerships, funding commitments, and expansion strategy; represent THP when needed.
• Program Assessment, Data, and Planning – Oversee data collection, dashboards, reports, and drive program improvements.
